The
Un-Common Theatre Company, founded in 1980, is truly unusual. We are
one of the only children's theatre
companies in New England and
provide aspiring young actors, singers, musicians, and technicians
an opportunity to work under the guidance of theatre professionals
and perform in a professional theatre house. Our vision is to
develop the life skills of youth through the professional theatrical
experience. We also
welcome and encourage adults to join our volunteer crews which are
an integral part of each production. Joining us is a sure-fire way
to enrich young lives, enhance your own life, and ensure the
on-going success of the Un-Common Theatre Company.
Chris Lowey and Amy Van Dell are Co
Presidents of our Board of Directors, Kathy Dowd our
Secretary and Lisa Armstrong is our treasurer. Other board
members are: Wendy Evans, Nancy Fullerton, Anne Marie
Kelley, Jill Levensohn, Lew Levine, Bess Marcus, Louise
Morrish, Joyce Parlapiano, Melanie Peddle, Sue Resnick and
Bev Vita with Associate Board member Kristan Burke
Sturtevant.
Un-Common performs two to four shows a year
at various locations. Our improvisational comedy troupe,
Improv Soup, performs once a month at The Burrell Elementary
School Auditorium in Foxboro, Ma and at other local venues.
