Nate, Trey and Alex will share their wisdom and experience gained from being on both sides of the audition table to teach you the tools you need to stand out from the crowd. This workshop will use materials from Un-Common’s upcoming production of The Addams Family and will include singing, movement and discussions to help you build your auditioning skills. If you have an audition song in mind, please bring sheet music in the key you plan to use for tips and helpful information from our Music Director.
The workshop is open to actors in Grades 7 through 12. Attendees will be singing and moving, so please wear appropriate attire and shoes. Dance shoes are not mandatory, but please no flip flops, crocs, or uggs – sneakers are adequate. Please note that everyone entering the building for the workshop (both students and those accompanying them) must wear a mask at all times.
In our ongoing effort to reduce COVID-19 transmission and to keep everyone as safe as possible, all participants in The Addams Family age 12 and over will be required to be fully vaccinated and show proof of such at the audition check-in table on December 18th. No student, age 12 and over, will be permitted to audition without it. In addition, we will be requiring that everyone in the audition building (auditioners and those accompanying them) to wear a mask. Auditioners will be able to remove their masks when instructed (if comfortable) during the actual audition. At this time we anticipate masking during rehearsals, but will continually monitor guidance from the CDC and the state of Massachusetts and update our policies as needed.
